Troubleshooting:

1. Make sure the console has the latest update.
   • If the console is already up to date, restart it by holding down the POWER button for at least three seconds, then select Power Options and Restart

   • If you are unable to perform an update because the Joy-Con is not recognized, you can use the touch screen to connect to the Internet and fill in the required fields.
2. Detach the Joy-Con from the console, then proceed with the following steps to troubleshoot each controller.
3. Reset the Joy-Con by pressing the SYNC button once.
4. Then press another button on the controller to turn it back on.
5. Connect the Joy-Con to the console, making sure it's facing the right way and is fully inserted.
   • If the Joy-Con is still not recognized by the console, try detaching and reconnecting the Joy-Con to the console several times.
   • If possible, test another Joy-Con with the console
